“هذه هي الصورة التي وجهتني إلى طريق مهنة مصور موسيقى الروك آند رول. التقطت هذه الصورة لآيس في 18 فبراير 1977 عندما عزفت فرقة KISS في ماديسون سكوير جاردن خلال جولتهم Rock and Roll Over Tour. في نهاية العام عادت KISS إلى مدينة نيويورك لتقديم ثلاث حفلات بيعت تذاكرها بالكامل في ماديسون سكوير جاردن. طبعت بضع مئات من الصور من حفل MSG الذي صورته في وقت سابق من العام وتوجهت إلى المكان لأول حفلة. انتظرت خروج الجمهور بعد الحفل، ثم بدأت ببيع الصور. ألقت الشرطة القبض عليّ لبيعي الصور وقضيت الليلة في السجن. بعد خروجي، قضيت الأيام القليلة التالية في تجميع ملف أعمالي ثم أخذته إلى مكاتب مجلة Circus في مانهاتن. ولحسن الحظ، كان مدير الفنون خارج الموعد النهائي، فرحب بي هو والناشر جيرالد روثبيرج في مكتبه. أعجبتهم صوري وقالوا لي أن أبقى على اتصال وأخبرهم عن الحفلات التي سأصورها. بعد عام كنت في مهمة لمجلة Circus.” — مارك “WEISSGUY” فايس

The print quality on this MSG shot is unreal — you can make out the texture of Ace's spaceman costume and the sweat on his face. Hung it above my turntable and it instantly became the focal point of the room.

Bought this as a gift for my dad who saw them on that same tour, and the print quality holds up way better than I expected for a 1977 concert shot. Only gripe is the paper feels a bit thin, so frame it before it gets bent. Ace's makeup and the Les Paul come through sharp even at full size.

The photo has this gritty, live-energy feel that matches the story behind it—you can tell it was shot from the pit, not a glossy promo. Print quality on the matte paper is solid, though I wish the listing included the exact dimensions before I ordered. Still, a great piece for any KISS fan's wall.
