Rocková skupina Blondie byla nedílnou součástí newyorské kulturní scény. Rozhodl jsem se fotografovat v hotelu Chelsea jako vhodném kontextu. Debbie Harry dorazila pozdě a v ponuré náladě, a tak jsem musel udělat nějakou práci na ‚stmelení skupiny‘. Nakonec jsme skončili venku na střechách a na balkoně, o kterém jsem se obával, že se každou chvíli zřítí. I přes nelehký začátek se Debbie vzchopila a nakonec jsme spolu pracovali v souladu a vytvořili velmi silné snímky. -- Norman Seeff

The Chelsea Hotel backdrop really sells the whole scene — you can almost feel the dusty hallway and that late-arrival tension in Debbie’s pose. Print quality is sharp, and the blacks hold up nicely under light. Definitely a conversation piece in my living room.
