The grain on this print really captures the raw energy of that 1984 show, and Clarence's sax silhouette next to Bruce is framed perfectly. I've stared at the crowd haze behind them for way too long, it's like being transported back to the Oakland Coliseum.
Managed to find this shot of the Boss and the Big Man from the Born in the U.S.A. tour, and the black-and-white grain just pulls you right into that Oakland night. Kirk West really captured the energy between them mid-performance, and it’s printed sharp enough that you can see the sweat on Clarence’
I was at this show and the photo perfectly captures that night’s energy, especially the way the lighting falls on both of them. The print quality is sharp and the black-and-white tone feels right for the era. Only wish it came in a slightly larger size.
