Ik fotografeerde Linda Ronstadt's live-uitzending van Old Grey Whistle Test in het New Victoria Theatre in Londen op 1 november 1976, samen met het Whistle Test-productieteam. Ik stond de hele show voor haar met mijn camera's. Linda leek me de meeste tijd aan te kijken. Ik was vijfentwintig en erg verlegen, en zij was buitengewoon mooi.
The black-and-white print pulls you right into that November night—you can almost hear the crowd between songs. The detail in her expression is sharp, even this many years later, like the camera was just a few feet away.
The grain and stage lighting in this print really pull you into that live broadcast moment, it feels like you're standing in the theatre. Took a few days to ship, but the archival quality paper makes it worth the wait for any Ronstadt fan.
The shot captures her mid-performance with that raw, live-TV energy, and the black-and-white print has a nice archival feel to it. Only wish the listing included a bit more detail on the exact stage moment, but the photo itself is a solid piece for any Ronstadt fan.
