Rockegruppen Blondie var en helt sentral del av New York-kulturscenen. Jeg bestemte meg for å fotografere på Chelsea Hotel som en passende ramme. Debbie Harry ankom sent og i dårlig humør, og jeg måtte jobbe med å integrere gruppen. Til slutt endte vi opp med å fotografere utendørs på tak og på en balkong som jeg var bekymret for skulle kollapse når som helst. Til tross for den vanskelige starten, løftet Debbie seg, og vi endte opp med å jobbe harmonisk sammen og skape noen svært sterke bilder. -- Norman Seeff

The Chelsea Hotel backdrop really sells the whole scene — you can almost feel the dusty hallway and that late-arrival tension in Debbie’s pose. Print quality is sharp, and the blacks hold up nicely under light. Definitely a conversation piece in my living room.
