David Bowie, Aladdin Sane, Eyes Open, London, 1973

In 1973, Duffy photographed the iconic David Bowie 'Aladdin Sane’ Album cover image during the second of five sessions together. This image was an outtake from this session and is as well known as the original album cover which became the defining look of Bowie's long career and the visual legacy of both men. This image headlined the ‘David Bowie is’ exhibition by the Victoria & Albert Museum which toured worldwide with 2.2 million visitors. This image in held within the permanent collections of the London National Portrait Gallery, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London and collectors worldwide.
