Grateful Dead, Stora pyramiderna, Giza, Egypten, 1978.

The black-and-white grain gives the whole pyramid backdrop this hazy, timeless feel that color never could. Hung it above my turntable and it's easily the best piece of wall art I own.

Didn't expect a 1978 concert photo to look this sharp, but the black-and-white print holds up beautifully on my wall. You can actually make out the band members against the pyramids in the background, which is wild for a live shot from that era.

The contrast in this shot is stunning—you can feel the desert heat and the crowd's energy even in black and white. Adrian Boot really captured the surreal scale of them playing right there at Giza, it's a piece of music history I'm glad to have on my wall.
