Waylon Jennings, Nashville, TN, 1998

The grain in this 1998 Nashville shot is gorgeous, and the 100% cotton-fiber paper has a slight texture that makes it feel like a real darkroom print rather than a poster. Hung it above my record shelf and it looks fantastic under a warm bulb.

The baryta paper gives this print a depth I wasn't expecting from a photo of a concert. Waylon's face fills the frame, and the cotton-fiber texture keeps the details sharp without any glare under my hallway light. Hung it above my record player and it's easily the best piece on that wall.

The contrast in this print is gorgeous, and the 315 gsm cotton paper gives it a real gallery-quality weight that I wasn’t totally expecting. I do wish the image of him was a little larger in the frame, but the detail in his expression makes up for it.
