The black-and-white print is genuinely sharp for a 1969 festival shot, you can make out every detail of his hands on the Strat. Joel Axe caught a really loose, unposed moment here.
The grain and contrast in this print feel like they’re straight out of 1969—you can almost hear the feedback through the image. Joel Axe caught him mid-solo with that intense focus, and it’s framed perfectly as the centerpiece of my music room. Could stare at this for hours.
Hangs above my turntable now and the black-and-white shot really captures how intense he looks mid-solo. Only thing is the print arrived with a faint crease in one corner, but once framed it's barely noticeable.
